DUBAI – Indian cricket star Virat Kohli sustained a minor injury ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand, scheduled for Sunday in Dubai.

The injury occurred during a net practice session at the ICC Academy on Friday when a fast delivery struck Kohli’s knee. He immediately halted practice, and India’s physio staff provided quick medical attention, applying spray and wrapping the affected area with a bandage.

Despite the setback, Kohli remained on the field and monitored the rest of the training session. He also assured his teammates and coaching staff about his condition.

The Indian team management later confirmed that the injury is not serious, and Kohli is expected to be fully fit for the highly anticipated final.
