UHS Ranked Among World’s Top Medical Universities Again

LAHORE – The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has once again secured a place in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, maintaining its position among the world’s top 1000 medical universities for the third consecutive year. UHS is ranked between 701 and 850 globally.

UHS became the first medical university in Punjab to enter these rankings in 2022 and was previously ranked among Pakistan’s top ten institutions by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) from 2012 to 2015.

Professor Nadia Naseem, UHS Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), stated that this ranking places UHS among the top 2 to 5 percent of universities worldwide.

The ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per paper, h-index, and international research network. UHS improved in academic reputation with a score of 44.2, while employer reputation stood at 57.1. The highest score was for citations per paper (51.7).

UHS Vice-Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore expressed pride in this achievement and reaffirmed UHS’s commitment to academic excellence, research, and contributions to Pakistan’s healthcare sector.
