PM Shehbaz Meets IFZA Delegation, Witnesses MoU Signing with BoI

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met an eight-member delegation from the International Free Zones Authority (IFZA) of the UAE and Aleria Group on Wednesday. During the meeting, he witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IFZA and Pakistan’s Board of Investment (BoI) for investment in Special Economic Zones (SEZs).

The Prime Minister welcomed IFZA’s plans to invest in Pakistan’s SEZs, emphasizing the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and the UAE. He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing a business-friendly environment to attract foreign investments.

The IFZA delegation praised Pakistan’s economic progress under PM Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership and expressed confidence in the country’s potential as a key investment hub in the region. They also showed interest in expanding their investment footprint in various sectors.

Key attendees included IFZA Chairman Martin Gregers Pederson, Aleria Managing Partner Mana Ali Muhammad Hammad Al Shamsi, and senior government officials, including Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.
