ISLAMABAD – Pakistani security forces eliminated six militants from the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan after they attacked Bannu Cantonment before Iftar.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives. Both leaders expressed deep sorrow and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to eliminating terrorism.
President Zardari commended security forces for their swift response, calling the attack particularly cruel during Ramadan. He extended condolences to the families of the martyrs and emphasized Pakistan’s determination to eradicate extremist threats.
Prime Minister Sharif praised the security forces’ quick action in preventing further destruction. He assured the best medical care for the injured and vowed that such cowardly attacks targeting civilians during Ramadan would not succeed.
Sharif reaffirmed that the entire nation stands with the security forces in their fight against terrorism, pledging continued efforts to root out extremist elements completely.
