Pakistan Blames India for Jaffar Express Terror Attack

Islamabad – Pakistan has accused India of orchestrating the recent terror attack on the Jaffar Express in the Bolan region of Balochistan. The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that the attack was planned by leadership based abroad, holding India responsible for what was described as “train terrorism.”

During a weekly briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan revealed that terrorists involved in the attack had been in contact with their associates in Afghanistan. He mentioned that intercepted calls provided evidence of communication with Afghanistan, where militants have safe havens. Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Afghan interim government to prevent groups like the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) from operating on its soil.

The spokesperson emphasized that while details of diplomatic communications are not disclosed publicly, Pakistan has shared intelligence on such incidents with Afghanistan in the past. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fostering strong ties with Afghanistan but stressed that terrorism remains a serious concern. He also highlighted Pakistan’s counter-terrorism cooperation with its allies, reaffirming efforts to address security threats emanating from across the border.
