The Academy hosted a special dinner on February 25, 2025, to celebrate this year’s Oscar nominees. Unlike the usual luncheon, which was canceled due to the Los Angeles wildfires, the event took place at the Academy Museum, bringing together many of Hollywood’s biggest stars ahead of the 97th Academy Awards.

Among the notable attendees were Timothée Chalamet, nominated for Best Actor for A Complete Unknown, and Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, nominated for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively. Demi Moore, up for Best Actress for The Substance, also attended, marking her first Oscar nomination.

Four of the five Best Supporting Actress nominees were present, including Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown), Isabella Rossellini (Conclave), and Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez). A heartwarming moment between Saldaña and Erivo was captured when Erivo demonstrated her signature red carpet walk.

This year’s Oscars, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will take place on Sunday, airing live on ABC.
