ISLAMABAD – President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath to newly appointed ministers, expanding the federal cabinet to 46 members. The swearing-in ceremony took place at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other key officials.
The expansion includes 13 new federal ministers, 11 ministers of state, and three advisers. Among the newly inducted ministers are Hanif Abbasi, Moeen Watto, Mustafa Kamal, Sardar Yousuf, Ali Pervaiz, Shaza Fatima, Junaid Anwar, Khalid Magsi, Pir Imran Shah, Aurangzeb Katchi, Rana Mubashir, and Raza Hayat Hiraj.
The state ministers sworn in include Malik Rasheed, Armaghan Subhani, Talal Chaudhry, Kheal Das, Rehman Kanju, Bilal Kayani, Mukhtar Bharat, Shizra Mansab, Anwar Chaudhry, and Wajiha Qamar. Additionally, Prime Minister’s advisers Tauqeer Shah, Pervez Khattak, and Muhammad Ali also took the oath.
The expansion aims to enhance the government’s leadership as it continues to implement national policies and initiatives.
