Light Rain and Gusty Winds Expected in Karachi, Sindh

KARACHI – Light rain and gusty winds are expected in Karachi and parts of Sindh on Monday night and Tuesday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). A strong westerly wave is currently affecting western Pakistan and is expected to extend across most regions by Tuesday.

Under this system, Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot, Ghotki, and Kashmore may experience light rain and strong winds on Monday night, while Karachi and coastal areas could see partly cloudy weather with drizzle. On Tuesday, most of Sindh will remain dry, though Karachi and nearby coastal areas may receive light drizzle.

Temperatures in Karachi are expected to range between 17°C and 19°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 18°C to 20°C on Thursday. In Hyderabad, temperatures will likely be between 16°C and 18°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, rising slightly to 17°C and 19°C on Thursday.

Over the past 24 hours, Karachi, Hyderabad, and most districts of Sindh experienced dry weather. Mohenjo-Daro and Mithi recorded the lowest temperatures at 12°C. Karachi’s minimum temperature was 18°C with 49% humidity, while Hyderabad recorded 17°C with 47% humidity in the evening.
