The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 90 illegal commercial buildings and properties defaulting on commercialisation fees during operations across the city on Monday.

LDA’s Town Planning Wing took action in multiple areas, sealing 27 buildings in Gulberg and Faisal Town, 33 in Subzazar Housing Scheme, and 30 in Shadman, Shah Jamal, Gulshan-e-Ravi, and Shadbagh. The affected properties included businesses operating without legal approval, such as Depilex Beauty Clinic, Chughtai Lab, Paradise Pharmacy, Lahore Leads University, private schools, clinics, gyms, bookshops, food outlets, and other commercial establishments.

The operations were supervised by LDA Chief Town Planner I Assad-uz-Zaman, with assistance from law enforcement authorities. Officials confirmed that multiple notices had been issued to property owners before the crackdown.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has instructed the continuation of strict action against illegal commercial properties and defaulters to ensure compliance with the city’s regulations.
