Lahore, Punjab Weather Update: More Rain and Isolated Hailstorms Expected

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted intermittent rain, gusty winds, and isolated hailstorms in Lahore and several parts of Punjab from Wednesday night through Friday. Heavy rainfall and snowfall are also expected in Murree, Galliyat, and surrounding areas, potentially disrupting traffic due to slippery roads.

A strong westerly wave is currently affecting central and upper Pakistan and is expected to persist for the next two to three days. As a result, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Gujrat, Chakwal, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, and other nearby areas will experience rainy and windy conditions.

Lahore’s temperature is expected to range between 14°C and 16°C on Thursday and 13°C and 15°C on Friday.

Over the past 24 hours, various parts of Punjab have already witnessed rain and gusty winds, with Murree receiving the highest rainfall at 28mm, followed by Islamabad (10mm), Attock (5mm), and Rawalpindi (7mm).

Authorities advise travelers to exercise caution in hilly areas due to potential road closures and slippery conditions.
