NEW DELHI – An Israeli tourist woman was allegedly gang-raped in Karnataka, India, according to local media reports on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

The 27-year-old victim was traveling with another woman and three other passengers near the Kopal canal area, around 350 kilometers from Bengaluru, when the attack occurred. The suspects reportedly pushed three passengers into the canal, leading to the drowning of one Indian national, while two others survived.

The Israeli woman was subjected to torture before being assaulted and has been admitted to a private hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities have registered an FIR and launched an investigation, assuring that the suspects will be arrested soon.
