Imran Khan Challenges IHC Judges’ Transfer in Supreme Court

LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has challenged the transfer of three Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. In his petition, he named the federal government, high court registrars, and other relevant authorities as respondents.

He argued that judicial independence is being undermined, as the transferred judges had previously ruled on cases against him based on merit. He also questioned the appointment of an acting Chief Justice without an oath, calling it unconstitutional.

Khan urged the court to declare the transfers null and void, citing the Al-Jehad Trust case as a precedent for judicial transparency.

Meanwhile, PTI is planning a political movement after Ramadan. Imran Khan assigned Asad Qaiser and Umar Ayub to lead the movement and establish opposition contacts. His lawyer Faisal Chaudhry alleged that PTI members are facing politically motivated trials and media freedom is being suppressed.

Khan also criticized the economic crisis, claiming Pakistan has suffered $45 billion in losses since PTI’s removal. He accused the current government of being formed through electoral rigging, calling for justice and transparency.
