ISLAMABAD – The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced revised timings for all federal schools during Ramadan 2025. The changes will take effect from the first day of Ramadan, and schools will revert to their regular schedules once the holy month concludes.
Under the new schedule, double-shift federal schools will operate from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, with Friday classes ending at 12:00 PM. Evening shift schools will run from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Single-shift schools will function from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold a crucial meeting in Peshawar today to confirm the sighting of the Ramadan moon. Chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azam, the committee will review moon sightings reports. The final decision on the start of Ramadan will be announced by the committee.
According to SUPARCO, the national space agency, the Ramadan moon is not expected to be visible on February 28, and the holy month is predicted to begin on March 2, 2025.
