Devcom-Pakistan Honors Contributions to Women’s Empowerment

ISLAMABAD – Devcom-Pakistan, a leading organization in sustainable development and climate action, conferred the National Women Empowerment Awards 2025 on Thursday, recognizing individuals and organizations for their voluntary efforts in women’s development and empowerment.

The awards ceremony, held in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, honored remarkable figures from social activism, education, health, business, and environmental conservation. The recipients were recognized for their work in promoting women’s rights, economic independence, and leadership.

Among the honorees, Amna Munawar Malik, Sadaf Asim Abbasi, and Riffat Ara Baig received the Devcom-Pakistan Golden Woman Award for their contributions to women’s development. Additionally, the National Bank of Pakistan and Capital Smart City were awarded for their efforts in workplace empowerment, skills development, and education for marginalized women.

Atiqa Masood, Manager Sales and Marketing at Capital Smart City, was recognized for her ten years of dedication to gender equality in the workplace. Other notable recipients included media professionals, gender experts, business leaders, and digital engagement advocates.

Speaking at the event, Devcom-Pakistan’s Founder, Munir Ahmed, emphasized the need for collective efforts to ensure equal opportunities and leadership roles for women.
