ISLAMABAD – As the world observes International Women’s Day, Pakistan pays tribute to its remarkable women who have excelled in various fields. This year’s theme, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”, emphasizes the need for equal opportunities and a more inclusive future.
Women from Balochistan have made significant contributions despite challenges, proving their strength and determination. Justice Tahira Safdar became the first Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, while Pari Gul Tareen leads initiatives to support women and youth in Quetta. Saira Batool made history as Balochistan’s first female fighter pilot, and Zakia Jameel became the first commissioned naval officer from the province. PSP officer Shazia Sarwar, who has served as a DPO in Punjab, is also among the pride of Balochistan.
These women represent resilience and progress, proving that Baloch women are shaping Pakistan’s future in various fields, from law to security forces.
