LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has taken notice of the reduction in match fees for domestic cricketers in the National T20 Tournament and has ordered an immediate review.
A PCB spokesperson confirmed that no player will face a pay cut, and the chairman has directed the Director of Domestic Cricket to ensure fair compensation.
The National T20 Cup 2025 is set to begin on March 14, featuring 18 teams from 16 regions. A total of 39 matches will be played across Faisalabad, Lahore, and Multan. The Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, will host the knockout stage, while Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and LCCA Ground and Multan Cricket Stadium will also be key venues.
The tournament offers a prize pool of Rs9.4 million, with the winning team receiving Rs5 million and the runners-up Rs2.5 million. The teams are divided into four groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the quarter-finals on March 23 and 24 in Faisalabad. The semi-finals are scheduled for March 26, followed by the final on March 27.
Matches in Faisalabad will begin at 7 pm and 11 pm, while in Lahore and Multan, they will start at 4:30 pm and 9 pm.
