DUBAI – Indian cricket star Virat Kohli sustained a minor injury during a net practice session ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand, scheduled for Sunday in Dubai.

The incident occurred at the ICC Academy on Friday, where Kohli was facing fast bowling in the nets when a sharp delivery struck his knee. He immediately stopped practice, and the team physio attended to him, applying spray and a bandage to the affected area.

Despite the injury, Kohli remained on the field, observed the training session, and updated the coaching staff and teammates about his condition.

Later, the Indian team management confirmed that the injury was not serious, and Kohli is expected to be fully fit for the final match.
