Punjab CM Internship Program Stipend Increased to Rs60,000

LAHORE – The Punjab government has announced an increase in the stipend for the Chief Minister Internship Program, raising it to Rs60,000, bringing financial relief to students and young professionals.

Punjab’s Minister for Sports, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, stated that this step aligns with CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision of empowering youth by providing them with better career opportunities. He emphasized that with nearly two-thirds of Punjab’s population consisting of young people, such initiatives play a key role in regional development.

Internship Program Expansion

In the first phase, around 6,000 interns are benefiting from the program. However, in the next phase, the number of beneficiaries will increase to 10,000, and the internship duration will be extended from six months to one year.

The minister called this a golden opportunity for young people to develop their skills and gain valuable experience, preparing them for better career prospects in the future.
