Kim Basinger has shared rare remarks about her ex-husband, Alec Baldwin, nearly two decades after their highly publicized divorce.

The 71-year-old actress and Baldwin, 66, were married from 1993 to 2002 after meeting on the set of The Marrying Man (1990). Their split was marked by a heated custody battle over their daughter, Ireland, who was seven at the time. Now 29, Ireland became a mother in 2023, welcoming her daughter, Holland.

In a recent interview with Variety, Basinger spoke positively about Baldwin, expressing admiration for where he is in life today.

“Alec and I have a great relationship. I have great respect for where he is today and his family,” she shared. “We don’t spend holidays together or see each other often, but we talk.”

Their divorce was one of Hollywood’s most turbulent in the ‘90s, but her comments suggest their relationship has since improved.
